Tasi Travels is an Australian ethical fashion label producing “slow clothing for conscious wanderers.”
Oooh, that’s us!
Created in and inspired by the incredible Noosa Hinterland, the Tasi Travels garments are made for wandering. Each design is timeless, functional, versatile, layer-able and trans-seasonal, and every piece will hold a special place in your sustainable wardrobe (and your heart) for years to come.
The Tasi Travels garments are made by a local Australian manufacturer who lives less than half an hours’ drive from the Tasi Travels HQ. The duo, a husband and wife team, are self-employed and set their own hourly rate. That’s the dream. Also, because Tasi Travels chooses to bring their garments to life locally, their own carbon footprint is lessened.
As for the materials, Tasi Travels utilises a range of eco-friendly fabrics to bring their garments to life. Tencel and Lenzing Modal are a couple of these wonder-fabrics, and not only is each a breathable and durable material, but is made from wood pulp from certified sustainable forests. The wood pulp used to create these materials is sent to a Chinese mill (which is OEKO-TEX certified), is then sent to an EOK-IEX certified printer and the rest, they say, is history.

Naturally, the Tasi Travels team is conscious of their environmental footprint. They feel extremely strongly about reducing their waste, which is why all fabric off cuts that cannot be repurposed into new garments are used to make ties for stock packaging. The Tasi Travels team also works closely with their pattern maker to ensure that wastage is reduced as much as possible.
Tasi Travels gives back, too. Not only does this incredible sustainable fashion company partner with One Tree Planted to plant one tree with every item sold, but Tasi Travels is also a member of 1% For The Planet, an organisation that sees participating companies donate 1% of annual sales or salary to environmental causes.
Honestly, we could not love this brand more if we tried. Not only is Tasi Travels an ethical fashion label that is conscious about their environmental footprint and their impact on those who work for them, but they also give back in not one but two different ways. The Tasi Travels team is constantly refining processes to strive towards being even more transparent in their processes and supply chain, and we’re 100% here for it.
